Jesse Woodson James Gold Cache in Utah

 

Lets take a break from ancient and Spanish gold stories in Utah and talk about another source of caches reported around the state discoveries and robberies you never hear about....

Not many years ago it was reported that a store clerk from the Delta Utah area was browsing the expanse of the desert hills looking for arrow heads. He told a few friends and later a Salt Lake Television station about the discovery of which he describe that he had happened upon and old boarded up mine... according to reports of the day he pried the boards away and entered to explore this old forgotten hole in the ground... he reported having found 280 gold bars/bricks Stamped with US Cavalry, two civil war era rifles, a six shooter pistol and boxes of old, highly unstable dynamite. The official story says that he just left million of dollars just sitting there, didn't take a bar, a gun or even a picture for proof and therefore it is a hoax....

As always, there is always more to the story however that's not going to happen today.... I will say however that a picture was taken and showing the serial number of a specific bar, Johnny Government knew exactly where this bar came from or from where it was stolen long ago... every effort was taken to dodge the mans offers to receive a portion of the treasure but no one would agree to his terms before giving up the location... even with this, we still have some people who can't see as to why this story is true... and I am not going to tell them why...

Point being.... If the story is true, where did it come from? Who put it there and I thing it safe to say it was a robbery but when, by whom who did it really belong to? etc...

In the book Jesse James was one of his names (The Black Book) it is briefly mentioned....

“How much gold was stolen, appropriated or hijacked from the hated damnyankees will probably never be known. It is even difficult to estimate. Union Army payrolls were looted, mule trains carrying the precious metal to the private mint, Clark, Gruber & Company (later the U.S. Denver Mint) were hijacked, gold from the Comstock Lode of Nevada and Mother Lode of California was heisted and daring agents in such Northern cities as New York, Washington and Cincinati raided Union gold stocks. During the half century that tough, dedicated Colonel Jesse W. James was connected with the Knights of the Golden Circle he ran the value of gold in Confederate caches from $7 billion to $21 billion.

The likelyhood of this being a Jesse James robery/cache, is HIGHLY Likely...

Now again, whether or not the story is true, who did it belong to and why was there no report for MANY of these robberies? The answer is actually simple, makes sense and is highly plausible...

The Union government, the Bankers of England and the military had several powerful strategic, economic, and political motives to keep high-value payroll or gold robberies completely hidden from the public record during and immediately after the Civil War.

If a major theft of $5,000 to $30,000 or even more... occurred along the Western trail networks, the Union had every reason to suppress the news for the following specific reasons:

## 1. Preventing Economic Panic and Protecting Union Credit
During the Civil War, the Union's financial system was incredibly fragile. The government was issuing paper currency ("Greenbacks") that was not fully backed by gold, causing severe inflation. [1, 2]

* To keep the economy afloat and retain the trust of foreign lenders, the Union relied heavily on the continuous, secure flow of raw gold and silver bullion from Western mines (like the Comstock Lode) to Eastern banks..

• Admitting that outlaw gangs or Confederate guerrillas could easily intercept and steal $20,000, $30,000 or more in government funds would signal that the Union could not secure its own wealth pipelines. This would have damaged the value of the Union dollar and tanked public confidence in the war effort.
  
  ## 2. Denying Propaganda Victories to the Confederacy
  The Civil War was fought as much in the newspapers as it was on the battlefield.
  
  * Confederate partisan rangers and underground copperhead societies (like the Knights of the Golden Circle) operated in California, Arizona Colorado Nevada, and Utah with the explicit goal of disrupting Union supply lines and weakening the Bankers which was the real reason for the Civil War.

  * If a pro-Southern group successfully pulled off a massive, clean tactical heist of a military payroll without losing a single man, it would have been an immense propaganda victory for the South. The Union military suppressed reports of these losses to avoid embarrassing the Bankers and the government and to prevent boosting Confederate morale.
  
  ## 3. Avoiding "Copycat" Attacks on Vulnerable Trails
  The trails cutting through the Nevada desert, the West Desert of Utah, and down toward into southern Utah were thousands of miles long and incredibly difficult to police. The Union Army simply did not have enough cavalry troops in the West to guard every single shipment.
  
  * If the newspapers ran headlines detailing how an organized group successfully walked away with $10,000 or $15,000 in gold coins from a government transport, it would have acted as an open invitation.

  
  * Dozens of other desperate Western outlaws, miners, and deserters would have flooded the trails to try their hand at hitting Union shipments. Keeping successful heists strictly classified kept the trails significantly safer.
  
  ## 4. Masking Military and Political Corruption
  Military payrolls were handled by regional paymasters who traveled with large sums of cash. High-level corruption was rampant on the Western frontier.
  
  * If a payroll shipment vanished, it was often highly convenient for local commanders or paymasters to blame an "outlaw raid" or cover up internal theft by simply omitting the loss from public military ledgers.

  
  

There several stories of Gold Bars found in the South Western Desert of Utah but here is one that has not been told.... keep in mind, I'd love to get the right person working on this... but who knows and understands The KGC and their codes?.... there are some who think they do... but do they? Common sense says the cache is likely within 100 yards of these carvings....

Jesse James considered one of thee most notorious outlaw in the history of the west… and in this authors humble well researched opinion, was and is gravely misunderstood as to who he was. I was looking for original source material and I usually start with WIKI, not because they would know but because they generally list every author who SHOULD HAVE read the original source material, if any exists... in reading the section under “Rumors of Survival” it says,

Frank James                        Captain George S. James                         Jesse James

“ J. Frank Dalton claimed to be Jesse James; he died August 15, 1951, in Granbury, Texas. Dalton was allegedly 101 years old at the time of his first public appearance, in May 1948. His story did not hold up to questioning from James' surviving relatives. FN 66”

and that’s all that was said… the footnote #66 leads to ONE man’s book, out of 91 references  pertaining to Jesse James. Now I haven’t read this mans book and likely will not, because if he had knowledge of J Frank Dalton and wrote his book in 1998, I am quite certain he read the ORIGINAL source material which I have read, written in 1975 based on an interview with Jesse James purported Grandson, and no where in that book does it make any implication that “His story did not hold up to questioning from James' surviving relatives”  

With this said, and understanding that in reading that original source material in which the J. Frank Dalton claim was made public in writing, many incredible claims were made throughout the book, many even I had a hard time with… and so, I decided to take each claim made, and do my own research to see if the claims made were at least plausible… My findings were, of all the claims made only a few I did not find evidence of factual claims.

If I had to make a call I would say, J. Frank Dalton with a 99% certainty was Jesse, and Jesse lived for near 25 years as William A. Clark, (one of The Copper Kings of Montana) and to this day W. A. Clark is considered the richest American that has ever been, worth 250 Million to 300 million at his yet another, staged death in 1925… at today’s currency values that would be near 30 Billion.

I never really had much interest in the Confederate Underground, KGC, (Knights of the Golden Circle) or Jesse James for that matter, but years ago several petroglyph panels popped up here in Utah, that one of the most plausible source for their creation was Jesse himself under the Confederacy. 

Although there are MANY other evidences of Jesse's works in Utah,  It wasn’t until a certain individual sent me a map of what is believed to be a KGC, (Confederate Underground) depository map thought to be in Montana, that cause me to take a second look. As always the coincidences began to roll in unsolicited… and today, thanks to a friend from Vernal no less, I now have verification of Jesse himself and his brother Frank James and one other individual with the initials of L.A. here in central Utah or is it the Compass and Square of KGC or both? As I suspected when the site was first brought to my attention by another friend living in central Utah, there was more to be found… My thanks goes to those two friends and their efforts…

Since this time and prior I have found evidence of confederacy and or Jesse himslef in Cache County, Washington County, Sanpete, Juab, Millard, Weber, Utah, Salt Lake county and others, also In most of the Western States.

It is a given that if you have found a bonafide signature (Mark) on a rock of Jesse’s initials which is the back to back J forming an anchor so to speak, there is without  doubt a Jesse or KGC cache nearby. I knew verification was somewhere near the panel that was found many years ago, and today we got verification.

Now having recently discovered that Jesse James is a not so distant cousin to me, I am all the more excited about this one.

I can’t wait to get back down there…

Not easy to see but this is the classic 3 headed eagle like that found on the late 1800's early 1900's Gold Eagle coin but with 3 heads,  with Alexander Frank James rock signature below it... I wonder why he scratched this out?

It is often downplayed by the orthodox belief, but why was there so many African origin people fighting for the Confederacy? Why was Jesse James's most loyal and trusted friend and body guard, John Trammell, an escaped slave of African Origin?  Did you really think that the southerners watched their plantations were burned to the ground, watched their families boarded up in their churches and burned alive by Union soldiers just because they would not let their slaves go? What did John know that apparently the general public doesn't know? The untold history of John Trammell are humorous and amazing.

Why has history neglected to tell his story and his connection with the Confederacy along with Lucky Johnson and Gene Robertson? Why did they show up in 1948 to testify and provided sworn affidavits as to the true identity of J. Frank Dalton seen in the picture below?

The story of Jesse James and the Civil War has been grossly miss-represented, the history having been written by the victor in war. The war was NOT about freeing the slaves, it was about preventing the creation of slavery, in the form of Bondage and Captivity and preventing the same powers who we booted out of here in 1776, from taking control of not only us, but our properties and our financial system, but the south and we as a Nation have failed.
